Bruthers of Different Muthers
Bruthers of Different Muthers is a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, known for blending grunge-inspired hard rock with elements of First Nations music.〔("Bruthers of Different Muthers inspired by pow wow beats" ). CBC Music, March 23, 2012.〕
The band consists of Donovan Bruyere on lead vocals and guitar, Jesse Green on guitar, Leroy Constant on bass and Michel Bruyere on drums. Their debut album ''Speakers of Tomorrow'', released independently in 2011, was named best rock album at the 2011 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards,〔"Winnipeg's Most collects six awards". ''Winnipeg Free Press'', November 5, 2011.〕 and was a shortlisted Juno Award nominee for Aboriginal Album of the Year at the Juno Awards of 2012.〔"Could this be our year for a couple of Junos?".
